Spring Invader (Kevin)

Kevin is a 17 hand dark bay thoroughbred gelding born in 1991.

Kevin was originally a show jumper in Perth, Western Australia. Julie Probert discovered him and sent me a fax in India informing me that she had found my Olympic horse!!

The skeptic that I am, I was extremely reluctant to make the long journey to see one horse. She tempted me with the possibility of seeing five more horses. I arrived in Perth only to quickly discover that the other five horses were a waste of time and Kevin really was worth the trip. That was the beginning of our partnership.

Kevin and I have since successfully competed in several One Day Events in Australia, jumping clear rounds at every event. He is a super star. After completing Adelaide International Three Day Event, which made him the youngest horse to have completed the event, he had now made a name for himself - although having a name like Kevin is probably the only thing going against him.

Kevin is still grumpy and does not like his girth to be tightened. I have a few bites on my arm to prove it. He loves other horses and his favorite pass time is eating. He is extremely relaxed. Nothing excites him, even in the start box. You have to wake him up and tell him, "Come on Kev it's time to jump!".

Extravagance

Extravagance is a 17hh chestnut gelding from Australia. He is an off-the-track Thoroughbred. "Extra" is super on the flat and a great cross country horse. The most personable horse I have ever owned. He follows me around the barn and runs to me if I call "Extra" as he is called in the barn. He loves attention, people and treats. He is a homebody. He is like a person I feel I can talk to him and he will listen.
